The Argentine striker Julian Alvarez has apparently aroused the interest of two Bundesliga clubs. As the online portal 'Calciomercato.com' reports, both Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have their eyes on the 21-year-old. At the end of 2022, Álvarez's contract with his current club, River Plate, expires.

The young attacker has scored seven goals in his eleven appearances this season in the Argentine league and has also prepared four goals. Among other things, Alvarez scored a double in the important Superclasico against Boca Juniors (2-1).

The attacker's strong performance meanwhile brought Alvarez two short appearances for the Argentine national team. In addition to Leverkusen and Dortmund, numerous other top European clubs such as Sevilla FC, AC Milan, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are said to have the jewel in their sights.

At the Werkself, which already frequently sign talent from South America, Alvarez could meet his compatriots Lucas Alario (28) and Exequiel Palacios (23). BVB, on the other hand, may soon have to look for a successor to Erling Haaland (21).
