Lookman sees late equaliser as 'Positive' result for Atalanta

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman has expressed his optimism about Atalanta's late equaliser against Lazio, describing it as a "positive" result to end 2024, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Atalanta trailed for most of the match after Fisayo Dele-Bashiru's clever finish gave Lazio the lead, but Lookman's selfless assist allowed Marco Brescianini to tap in the equaliser in the 88th minute.

Despite wasting several opportunities, Lookman chose to focus on the positives, highlighting Atalanta's resilience and determination.

"It was a tough match, the first half was very difficult for us, but we fought and on another day might've won the game," Lookman told Sky Sport Italia.

"We drew today, but we didn't lose, so it's positive. We'll take the point and move forward."

The result sets Atalanta up nicely for their upcoming Supercoppa Italiana clash, and Lookman's attitude will be crucial in motivating his teammates for the challenge ahead.
