Granada CF Femenino forward Edna Imade has been awarded Liga F best player for the month of December, beating out fierce competitions from seven other nominees, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Nigerian forward played 180 minutes spread over the two games this November in Liga F for the Andalusian team, leading them to an infamous 1-0 victory against Madrid CFF and also a 4-2 win against Sevilla FC, leaving them in 6th position with 19 points, six behind Europe.
She is yet to be presented the award in the preliminaries of the Granada CF - Costa Adeje Tenerife match, on Saturday 18 January at the Granada team's Sports City.
An unprecedented action that has been joined by the selection of the player of the month, which represents a further step in its strategic commitment to promote women's football and specifically the F League as a pioneer in both actions worldwide. Rasheedat Ajibade (September), Alexia Putellas (October), Patri Guijarro (November) and Edna Imade (December) have been the winners in these first four months of competition.
