Ghana winger Albert Adomah hails Boro display at Norwich

Albert Adomah has hailed a magnificent team effort in an epic away win at Norwich.

Aitor Karanka’s side grabbed an early lead in the summit six-pointer then had to dig deep to defend for 45 pulsating minutes at Carrow Road on Friday, leaving Boro 5/1 to win the title with just two matches remaining.

“It felt like two days of football,” said drained Adomah. “Man, it was really hard work for all the boys.

“It was unbelievable, the tempo and the atmosphere. It felt like a massive cup game. Towards the end we defended for our lives.

“It means a lot to everyone. Other teams have to keep winning as well now and we have to see what happens.

“If Norwich had won it would have been a five-point gap over us but instead we went ahead of them and went into the weekend top.

“We know that anyone can slip up and we have to keep the momentum going.

“We have to win both our games, and see what happens.”

And despite a string of superb individual displays, the winger hailed the collective.

“The whole team was unbelievable, from the back to the front, “ he said.

But the price was a lot of bumps and bruises in a physical encounter.

“Everyone got knocked about because they’re putting their bodies on the line,” he said. “Everyone was playing hard.

“Jelle took a real whack, and I hope he’s okay. It meant a lot.
