Published on: 16 November 2024

Nigerian midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is a major doubt for the Super Eagles' 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Rwanda due to injury, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Lazio forward picked up the injury in training before the 1-1 draw with Benin Republic on Thursday and failed a late fitness test.

Dele-Bashiru is yet to recover fully and may miss the match against Rwanda, while Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has been ruled out due to injury.

Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has also been granted compassionate leave to leave the camp following the death of his father.

The Super Eagles' match against Rwanda is a dead rubber, with Nigeria already qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
