Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben said he got goosebumps when he heard the reception from the crowd on his first return to action since last season.
Scoring within seven minutes of his comeback from injury in a 3-0 victory over Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena - a win which puts his side top of the Bundesliga - Robben proved he's immediately back to his best.
Speaking after the game, Robben said to ESPN: "It was a really nice moment. It gave me goosebumps," Robben said. "I've worked so hard the last few weeks, giving everything to make a comeback. It's indescribable. I'm really happy."
Bayern Munich are chasing a historic fifth league title in a row following three under Pep Guardiola and one under Jupp Heynckes. New manager Carlo Ancelotti has made the perfect start and their success over the capital-based side was their seventh win on the trot.
Franck Ribery put the Bavarians one up after just 15 minutes and their lead was then doubled by Thiago on the hour mark. Robben then came on to score one of his trademark 'cutting in, left footed strikes' that invariably leaves the keeper helpless (as it did on this occasion).
German Footballer of the Year Jerome Boateng also returned to action for the first time since being taken off in Germany's 2-0 defeat to France in the Euro 2016 semi-final back in June. Philipp Lahm, David Alaba and Thomas Muller also rejoined the team after missing the weekend's game with various illnesses.
Boss Ancelotti said: "I'm very pleased. It was our best performance so far this season. Important players like Robben and Boateng returned and they both had no issues."
