Besiktas are among seven clubs who will have their European squads capped next season after breaking Financial Fair Play rules.
Ghana international defender Daniel Opare is on loan at Besiktas from Portuguese giants FC Porto but Porto have made arrangement to sell him permanently to Besiktas.
However the new ruling could mean Besiktas would have to tinker their squad if they are to sign Opare permanently.
Opare has played just three (3) league games and scored once since moving to the Ataturk Olimpiyat Stadi in January.
Besiktas would want to assess the long-term fitness of the 24-year-old before reaching a decision to permanently sign.
Besiktas are in pole position to qualify for the Uefa Champions League next season and would not be able to register more than 22 players per the ruling from the European football governing body.
The Turkish giants together with Russian sides Krasnodar, Lokomotiv Moscow, Monaco, Roma and Sporting Lisbon can only name 22 players in next season's Champions League or Europa League squads.
This means the club must think through their squad before handing it over to Uefa next season.
