Nigeria winger Promise Meliga Jr has joined KFUM Oslo from Valerenga for €200,000, completing a move within Norway’s Eliteserien.
The 19-year-old right winger arrives after making nine appearances in the 2026 Eliteserien campaign, scoring three goals. He also featured twice in the Norsk Tipping-Ligaen avdeling 1 this year and scored three times, while making one appearance in the NM-Cup.
Meliga, who is predominantly left-footed, joined Valerenga from Remo Stars Youth Academy in August 2025. He spent part of the 2025-26 season on loan at Kristiansund BK, where he moved in March 2026, before returning to Valerenga in July.
His switch to KFUM Oslo means Meliga will remain in the Eliteserien, having already gained experience in Norway’s top flight during spells with Valerenga and Kristiansund. He made nine league appearances for Valerenga in 2026 and recorded three goals.
Before moving to Norway, the Nigerian developed with Remo Stars Youth Academy and had previously been with Ikon Allah FA. He also won the Viareggio tournament with Remo Stars Youth Academy during the 2023-24 season.
Meliga’s arrival comes with his market value listed at €700,000, while the transfer fee agreed between Valerenga and KFUM Oslo is €200,000. The move was completed on 2 September 2026.
KFUM Oslo have secured the services of the teenager on a contract running until 31 December 2030.
