Nigeria winger Emmanuel Olawore swaps Sweden for Kongsvinger in completed move

Nigeria winger Emmanuel Olawore has joined Kongsvinger from Swedish club Umea FC, switching to the Norwegian side after making 19 appearances in the Ettan Norra during the 2026 season.

The 18-year-old right winger scored three goals and provided one assist for Umea, starting 95% of the club’s possible league matches and playing 92% of the available minutes. He also recorded one yellow card during the campaign.

Olawore’s move takes him from Sweden’s Ettan Norra to Kongsvinger’s OBOS-ligaen squad. The transfer was completed on 2 September 2026, bringing to an end his spell with Umea, which began earlier in the year.

He joined Umea from Erinsoccer FC on 20 February 2026 before making an immediate impact in the club’s 2026 league campaign. His appearances came entirely in the Ettan Norra, where his three goals and one assist accounted for a 17% goal-participation rate.

Olawore now gives Kongsvinger an attacking option on the right side as the club adds a young Nigeria international-level player to its squad. The move is the latest step in a short career that has already taken him from Erinsoccer to Sweden and now Norway.

Kongsvinger have agreed a contract with Olawore until 31 December 2030, completing his move from Umea FC.
