Barcelona are allegedly trying to place playmaker Philippe Coutinho at another club in order to save on the player’s salary, even though Ronald Koeman saying he wants to count on the Brazilian. The 29-year-old star starred for Liverpool in the Premier League, which convinced Blaugrana to invest €120 million plus bonuses to acquire the South American’s services in January 2018.

Struggled at Blaugrana, a return to the English top-flight has been frequently discussed. However, the Dutch tactician insisted the creative midfielder is in his plans for this campaign.

The Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo journalist Lluis Canut explains there are reasons to believe in Philippe. Prior to sharing his views, Lluis says the Merseyside outfit made an attempt to sign Coutinho in the ongoing window. The journalist states Coutinho has been probed by the Reds, to live a second chance at Anfield.

In spite of having the manager’s confidence, it’s said Philippe won’t have it easy to enjoy more game time this season due to competition in the team. Canut’s claims of Jurgen Klopp’s side probing to sign Coutinho come as a surprise, considering the idea has been met with repeat denials.
