Enyimba have been strengthened by the return of Joel Ezra and Utum Godswill ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Six meeting with Plateau United on Sunday.
The pair have resumed training and are available for selection as Enyimba prepare to host Plateau United at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
Ezra has been absent for an extended period after suffering from illness. The versatile defender played 27 matches for Enyimba last season and could now return to the squad for the weekend fixture.
Godswill has also rejoined the group after recovering from the injury that ruled him out for the past three weeks. His return gives Emmanuel Deutsch another option in goal.
The availability of both players comes after Enyimba recorded their first NPFL victory of the season in midweek, beating Shooting Stars 4-2 at home.
That result ended their winless start to the campaign, but the People’s Elephant remain 19th in the league table with four points from six matches.
Deutsch’s team will be aiming to build on the victory against Shooting Stars and claim another positive result against Plateau United as they seek to improve their position in the standings.
