Pascal Gross makes Brighton history with September Premier League award

Pascal Gross has become the first Brighton player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award.

The German veteran was named the league’s outstanding player for September, as previously reported. The achievement marks the first time a Brighton footballer has received the award in the history of the Premier League.

Gross also set an age record for the honour. He was 35 years and 107 days old on the final day of September, making him the oldest winner since April 2022.

The previous oldest recipient was Cristiano Ronaldo, who was 37 years and 84 days old when he won the award.

Brighton are currently third in the Premier League table. Their next fixture is against Sunderland.
