Ndidi: Leicester City Will Be Fearless Against Spurs

Published on: 08 December 2018

Wilfred Ndidi is confident Leicester City will be fearless in their pursuit of a win when they face Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium on tonight (Saturday).

Leicester City were 2-1 winners in this fixture last season with Ndidi starring for the entire duration of the encounter, but he remains wary of the threat Spurs pose to his side.

“They are really good,” Ndidi told lcfc.com of Tottenham Hotspur.

“They are in form this season, and at the moment, they are really in form too. They’ve got qualities.

“I have no fear because I know we will do well. There is just something about this game where I know we are going to do well.”

“We are at home and everyone is ready. I think it’s going to be a tough one, it’s never going to be easy, but I think we are going to come out well.

The 21-year-old central midfielder believes Leicester City deserve to be in a more advanced position in the Premier League table.

The midfield enforcer feels The Foxes’ league position does not reflect their positive performances this campaign, as his side attempt to extend their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions.

“Honestly, we deserve more. We should have done more because you know the games we drew and the games we lost, so I think we should have done more,” the Leicester City boy added.

“We should have climbed more than ninth now. It’s something we should learn from and something we have to move on and learn from, these mistakes.

“If you remember at the beginning of the season, we conceded goals in less than five minutes into the game but now it’s getting better. I think we are improving.”

Ndidi said of Leicester City’s target: “We should have climbed more than ninth now. It’s something we should learn from and something we have to move on and learn from these mistakes.

“As well, what the manager said is right because we need to actually start the game quickly and put pressure on the opponents, but I think everything will go well.”

The kickoff for the Leicester City vs Tottenham hotspur is 8:45pm Nigerian time tonight.
