Olympique de Marseille have secured the future of young defender Alexi Koum by extending his contract until June 2029.
Koum, who joined Marseille from AJ Auxerre in the summer of 2024, will continue his development at the club. The 20-year-old Cameroon left-back is viewed as a player with a role to play in Marseille’s plans for the coming seasons.
The new agreement rewards the progress Koum has made since moving to the Mediterranean city. He is continuing his development within Marseille’s environment as he works to establish himself more permanently in the club’s project.
Koum’s current market value is estimated at 350,000 euros by Transfermarkt. By committing the defender to a deal running through to 2029, Marseille have underlined their intention to retain him and support his further progress.
