Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman has secured the UEFA Europa League Goal of the Season Award, triumphing over his international teammate Victor Boniface, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Lookman’s second goal in the 3-0 final victory against Bayer Leverkusen was chosen as the best of the season. The winger nutmeg Granit Xhaka before bending a fantastic shot into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
Lookman also beat West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, Olympic Marseille’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao to the award.
Meanwhile, compatriot, Boniface finished eighth in the rankings.

Lookman in the final of the competition scored a hat trick, the sixth European final hat-trick.
The last was all the way back in the 1975 Uefa Cup final by Jupp Heynckes for Borussia Monchengladbach.
