Last four teams standing set for Paris 2024 Olympics football ticket

Published on: 29 February 2024

The last four teams standing to compete for the two Olympic places reserved for Africa in Paris 2024 have been revealed.

Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia are the final four countries competing for a ticket in Paris later this year. Interestingly, these four countries also represented Africa in the most recent FIFA Women's World Cup.

The Super Falcons advanced to the next round after defeating Cameroon 1-0 in a two-leg encounter, while the incumbent African champions, South Africa, defeated Tanzania 4-0 overall to set up a clash with Nigeria, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

Ghana and Ghana were engaged in a thrilling clash on Wednesday night.

After a narrow 1-0 victory away, the Copper Queens hosted the Black Queens in Ndola. The Zambians advanced 4-3 on aggregate thanks to a late goal by the invincible Barba Banda, giving them a 3-3 draw.

Morocco defeated Tunisia 4-1 in a match that took place in North Africa after they had previously defeated their opponents 2-1 in Tunis a few days prior. Morocco, who qualified for their first FIFA World Cup in the most recent edition, is now well-positioned to accomplish another worldwide competition qualification milestone as a result of the outcome as they look to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

South Africa and Nigeria will play in the final round of qualifiers, and Zambia and Morocco will play two-leg matches from April 1–9, 2024.
