Paris Saint-Germain Feminine have offered their support to injured Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade and team-mate Anais Ebayilin before Saturday’s French league meeting with OL Lyonnes.
Ajibade is currently unavailable because of injury and is due to begin rehabilitation as she works towards making a full recovery. PSG Feminine have not announced a timetable for her return to competitive football.
The Nigeria international’s absence is a setback for the Parisian side, with her recovery now a priority as she attempts to regain full fitness. Ajibade’s progress will also be monitored closely by Nigeria’s Super Falcons because of her importance to the national team.
PSG Feminine face a difficult challenge against OL Lyonnes after suffering a 4-0 defeat to the same opponents in the Arkema Premiere Ligue. The result highlighted the task facing the Parisian club in France’s top flight.
For the moment, the focus for Ajibade remains on her rehabilitation. She is expected to return to action for both PSG Feminine and Nigeria once she has recovered full fitness, although the club has yet to confirm when that might happen.
