Ghanaian giants Kotoko have confirmed that expatriate coach Thomas Muller has arrived in the country but there is a serious confusion over the status of the Dane.
While club insiders have revealed that Dr. Kwaku Frimpong of Champion Divine Clinic brought the coach to boost the technical bench of the Porcupine Warriors, the club's management claims they are unaware for this upcoming appointment.
Ghana's leading football news outlet exclusively revealed four days ago that the German trainer arrived in the country on Thursday night to be appointed as technical director.
Kotoko management initially denied the report by Ghanasoccernet.com on Friday but has now admitted that Muller has arrived though they vehemently deny that he will be appointed as technical director.
“Those reports are far from the truth. We didn’t bring him and he’s also not here because of Kotoko. As far as we know, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong of Champion Divine Clinic brought him. They business partners. Therefore reports about the coach coming to Kotoko should be ignored” said the club spokesman Kwaku Ahenkora said.
David Duncan still remains at post and expected to handle the club for the 2015/2016 campaign.
