Inter Milan Sign Winger Portuguese Winger Joao Mario From Sporting Lisbon

"?Inter Milan have completed the signing of Joao Mario from Sporting Lisbon, the Serie A club has announced. 


The 23-year-old winger, who featured prominently for Portugal during their triumphant Euro 2016 campaign, passed his medical on Friday afternoon and quickly agreed personal terms. 


Sporting had pre-empted Inter's announcement in confirming they had reached an agreement for the sale of Mario, saying: "We have reached an agreement with Inter Milan for the transfer of the player Joao Mario for €45m, of which €5m is dictated by objectives.

"I followed Joao throughout the Euros and saw Portugal's victory in the Final,"? said Inter club patron Jindong Zhang said.

Joao Mario will be presented to the fans ahead of Sunday's Serie A match against Palermo at San Siro.


"We're delighted to have Joao Mario at Inter,"? added President Erick Thohir.


"He's a top player and we'd been tracking him for a long time. He'll further reinforce what is already a very strong squad."?


Mario scored seven goals in 45 appearances for Sporting last season and has been capped 18 times by Portugal.
