Michelle Alozie has revealed her excitement following the contract extension with NWSL side Houston Dash, conceding that she's happy to continue with the team as they push for a top finish this season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Houston Dash secured the Super Falcons defender with a new two-year contract extension, effective January 1, 2025.
Alozie is among four Dash players who recently signed contract extensions following the new collective bargaining agreement between the NWSL and the NWSL Players Association.
“Houston will always hold a special place in my heart; this is where I began my professional career and earned so many opportunities to grow off the field,” Alozie said.
“I’m optimistic about the future of the organization and want to contribute to this club’s success. I am cognizant of the work ahead and I’m thrilled to be a part of this team for years to come", she added.
Alozie has represented the Dash in 54 matches across all competitions since 2021. She has been versatile for the team, playing both as a forward and a defender when called upon. She has contributed six goals and two assists to the Dash in all competitions.
