Ghanaian striker Derek Asamoah scored for English third tier side Carlisle United defeated second tier club Oldham 3-1 in their penultimate pre-season friendly with Kevin Osei also in action for the home side.
Angelo Balanta, Derek Asamoah and Steven Rigg grabbed the goals as Carlisle United beat higher-division opposition for the second time in a week.
Summer signing Balanta opened his Carlisle account with a 29th minute goal against League One side Oldham.
Veteran frontman Asamoah doubled the Blues' lead with a 56th minute header.
The Latics, manager by ex-Carlisle defender Darren Kelly, pulled one back through sub Rhys Murphy on 65 minutes.
But Blues sub Rigg got his first goal of the summer when he buried a diving header six minutes from time.
It meant United recorded their second pre-season victory in the space of five days, after Tuesday's 4-3 win over Preston.
Skipper Danny Grainger missed a 13th minute penalty for the Cumbrians.
After Asamoah was tripped by Frazer Kerr, defender Grainger - who scored two spot-kicks against Preston - fired his attempt wide of the left-hand post.
Asamoah scored his goal when he doubled United's lead after the break.
It was a flowing move started by keeper Mark Gillespie's throw to Patrick Brough, who charged down the left and saw his cross nodded over Cornell by Asamoah, with Charlie Wyke finishing it off as the ball crossed the line.
The Blues have one more friendly before next Saturday's big kick-off at Mansfield, with a behind-closed-doors game against Queen of the South planned for Tuesday.
