Nigeria Nationwide League one club FC Ebedei shocked Niger Tornadoes 1-0  in the opening game of the pre- season tournament Gold Cup in Ijebu Ode today.

Gideon Joel scored the winning goal in the first half of the encounter played at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium.

Niger Tornadoes dominated the game but were unable to find a way past the side owned by the elder brother of former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, Churchill Oliseh.

The scoreline would have been more comprehensive had Ebedei converted a penalty awarded to them in the 71st minute when a Niger Tornadoes defender handled the ball in the box.

In today's two other remaining fixtures, MFM FC of Lagos will face Sunshine Stars, while Enyimba will keep a date with Lobi Stars.
