Victor Boniface is under investigation for unsportsmanlike gestures during Bayer Leverkusen's German Super Cup win against VFB Stuttgart, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The incident occurred after the final whistle, where the Nigeria international allegedly showed the finger to Stuttgart players.
If found guilty, Boniface could face a suspension, potentially ruling him out of Leverkusen's title defence opener against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday.
The German Football Association is currently reviewing the incident, and Boniface has been asked to respond to the charge.
