Asamoah Gyan’s scheduled medical and unveiling ceremony at Shaghai SIPG has been postponed to Thursday.
The Ghana striker arrived in China on Wednesday afternoon to a rapturous reception.
Gyan was scheduled for a routine medical in Shanghai later in the evening but this scheduled has been altered.
The Ghana striker will rather be hosted by high ranking officials of the club in the evening.
Gyan will later in the evening be one of the special guests at Shanghai SIPG’s FA Cup match against Guangzhou R&F.
The Ghana international was given the all-clear to leave Dubai by Al Ain on Tuesday after the UAE giants accepted an offer from Shanghai SIPG.
An agreement has been secured in principle to have Gyan sign onto a contract subject to him passing a medical which will now be conducted on Thursday.
