Arsenal are reportedly considering a surprise move for AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze in the January transfer window, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According to TeamTalk, the Gunners are willing to offer defender Jakub Kiwior in exchange for the 25-year-old Super Eagles forward.

Chukwueze has struggled to make a significant impact at AC Milan since his €21.1m transfer from Villarreal last year.

He scored three goals and provided three assists in 33 appearances across all competitions last season, and has managed three goals and one assist in 21 appearances this campaign, mostly off the bench.

Kiwior, on the other hand, has found game time hard to come by at the Emirates, with just eight Premier League appearances under his belt.

The 24-year-old defender is not considered a key player at Arsenal, and could be allowed to leave.

Arsenal have long been admirers of Chukwueze, having been linked with the Nigerian winger previously.

With recent injuries to Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka, the Gunners are likely to be eager to secure a deal for Chukwueze to bolster their attacking options.
