Soccer Aid kicked off its tenth year with a match between England and the World XI at the Etihad Stadium.

There was enough for City supporters in attendance to appreciate in front of a sell-out crowd of football enthusiasts from around the country, with a number of old favorites on both sides.

Ex-Blues Sven-Goran Eriksson, David Seaman, and Micah Richards led England's management team, which also included Soccer Aid co-founder Robbie Williams, with Shaun Wright-Phillips beginning in attack and David James in goal.

Pablo Zabaleta made a welcome comeback to the World XI, starting as one of the central defensive pairings, with Shay Given in goal and Nigel de Jong on the bench.

Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, and Patrice Evra, all former United players, started the game.

However, the entire goal of the event is to earn millions of pounds for UNICEF, with over £47 million raised for children all across the world before to tonight's game.
