24-year old striker, William Agada opened the scoring for Sporting Kansas City in their [2-1] US Open Cup quarterfinal victory over FC Dallas.
Agada who had scored twice against FC Dallas four days ago in the league, opened score last in the second half after a goalless affair in the first half, but compatriot Petar Musa equalised for Dallas as the tie went into extra time.
Sporting landed the decisive punch in the 111th minute when center back Dany Rosero rose to nod home Johnny Russell’s corner kick to send the home team to the semi final.
Sporting will now host USL Championship side Indy Eleven in the Open Cup semifinals on Aug. 27 or 28 at Children’s Mercy Park.
