Tottenham Hotspur this season have suffered a lot in defense and the defense treasure land seems to be the Serie A side Udinese.
Just in the summer the London club signed Nigeria-Italian Destiny Udojie for €18m but was immediately loan back to Udinese for more playing time and development. Udojie has been one of the shiny prospect in Serie A playing and starting in 12 of 15 league scoring twice in the process.
As if securing the services of Udojie is not enough, according to reports out of Italy via Transfer Tavern, Tottenham coach, Antonio Conte is looking to ‘entice’ central defensive star Rodrigo Becao from Udinese.
Antonio Conte’s side have actually conceded more goals than anyone else in the top eight of the division, shipping 21 in a frustrating record for Spurs.
Eleven of those came in their last five league games before the World Cup, so shoring up Tottenham’s fragile backline must surely be a major priority for Conte and the north Londoners.
