UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has expressed great concern over FIFA President Gianni Infantino's idea of ??playing the World Cup every two years.
In response to a letter from the Executive Director of Football Supporters Europe Ronan Evain, viewed by the Associated Press, Ceferin expressed all his doubts on the subject:
"UEFA and its national associations have serious reservations and serious concerns about the reports on the plans. Considering the great impact this reform can have on the entire football organization there is widespread amazement that FIFA appears to be launching a PR campaign to push its proposal while such proposals have not been presented to confederations, federations national teams, leagues, clubs, players, coaches, clubs and the entire football community".
"It is imperative to highlight the concerns shared throughout the football world about the impact that a biennial FIFA World Cup would have on the international match calendar and, above all, in this context, on women's football ", concluded Ceferin.
