Tolu Arokodare has lauded the massive support received from fans as the club recorded an incredible 2-0 victory against Anderlecht yesterday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The victory led by Tolu means that Genk has now recorded 9 home wins in a row, signing for a new milestone in the club's history with.
Tolu was very proud after the match, he stated in his post match pressers; "Today we made history, and that makes me incredibly proud, not only of the team, but also of the fans who supported us unconditionally. Their energy gave us a huge boost. These kinds of moments are exactly what we need as a club. We showed our qualities today.
"By staying patient and controlling the game, we took control of the game early on. We dominated from the first whistle, and that shows in the result. I am very happy with my goal and assist, although I have to say honestly that I could have taken a few more chances (laughs). But in the end it is about the team and the victory".
The team will now head to Antwerp for the last match of 2024 on boxing day.
