Sevilla and Aston Villa will meet in the 15th edition of the Antonio Puerta Trophy, with kick-off scheduled for 21:30 Moscow time.
The fixture marks Unai Emery’s return to Sevilla almost five years after he last visited the club. The Spanish manager led Sevilla to three successive UEFA Europa League titles, in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Both sides have been affected by the international break. Aston Villa are without nine players who have been called up by their national teams, while Amadou Onana and Leon Goretzka are also unavailable because of injury.
Sevilla are missing five players as a result of international commitments.
The match is being held primarily to honour the memory of Antonio Puerta, the former Sevilla defender who died from a heart attack after the club’s match against Getafe in 2007.
