Interviewed by Sky Sport Italia, Sassuolo CEO, Andrea Carnevali, asked about rumours linking 22-year old Italian U21 international Gianluca Scamacca to a rich transfer (with both Inter Milan and Juventus allegedly on his tracks), stated:
"Several rich bids, aimed at signing him, reached out to us, to date. So far, however, no deal has been sealed, since it's not only about the money, but we need to find a proper replacement, as long as we hand Scamacca out. Someone who could fit into our boss Alessio Dionisi's system".
Playing for Genoa, on a loan spell, throughout latest season, AS Roma alumni is currently on a deal with Neroverdi until June 2025, and is roughly worth 15 million euros right now, give or take.
