Angola’s Black Sable Antelopes and Zimbabwe’s Warriors settled for a 1–1 draw in their Group B encounter at the Marrakech Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Angola struck first in the 24th minute when Gelson Dala produced a superb finish at Arubi’s near post to put the Black Sable Antelopes ahead.
Zimbabwe responded just before the break. After several probing efforts, Knowledge Musona restored parity deep into first-half stoppage time, guiding a well-taken effort into the far corner to make it 1–1 at half-time.
The second half saw both teams push for a winner in an evenly balanced COSAFA derby. Zimbabwe came close late on when Chirewa’s effort was palmed upwards by Marques, with Angola’s defence clearing the danger off the line.
Neither side could find a decisive goal, and the match ended level — a result that leaves both Angola and Zimbabwe with their first point of the tournament after two Group B matches.
