Stanley Nwabali, the goalie for the Super Eagles, has responded to rumors that he is considering leaving Chippa United as he discusses the ties between Kaizer Chiefs and Union Saint-Gilloise.

The goalie was one of the most brilliant players at the 34th continental tournament, which took place in Cote d'Ivoire and following a run of strong performances in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Nwabali's stock has risen as one of Nigeria's most talked-about stars.

In seven games, the 27-year-old goaltender allowed just four goals and preserved four clean sheets to enable Nigeria advance to the tournament final although he narrowly missed out of the Golden glove award to Ronwen Williams, goalkeeperand captain of South Africa who also had a good outing, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

Following his outstanding performances, it was rumored that Union Saint-Gilloise of Belgium was interested in signing the former Lobi Stars goalkeeper, likewise Giants of South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs, were also rumored to be considering a move for Nwabali.

The Nigerian goalkeeper, who did not play in Chippa United's 2-1 victory over NC Pros in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 in Randburg responded to a question concerning his possible departure from the club as he states that he has not yet receive an official offer from any club.

“I only see offers online. To be honest, some of my friends send me screenshots to say, ‘hey bro, this offer is coming’ but to be honest, I haven’t seen an offer on my table".

“When sometimes there are rumours, I wish that they can all come to pass, but I haven’t seen any offer, he said as quoted from  SNL24.

Nwabali will be hoping that a big money move materializes soon as he continues to give his best to his surrnet employers.
