Ghana and Atalanta striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom was at the Accra Sports stadium to watch Ghana thump Mauritius 7-1 in their opening 2017 Africa cup of nation’s qualifiers.

The 22 year old striker was a surprise omission for the qualifier after impressing in the team’s last two friendly games against Senegal and Mali.

Boakye got the consolation goal in Ghana’s 2-1 defeat to Senegal in France before setting up a goal for Agyemang Badu in the 1-1 drawn game against Mali two days later.

Despite not being in the team, the on loan Juventus striker was at the Accra Sports stadium to cheer on his colleague to victory.

Boakye scored 3 goals in 18 appearances for Atalanta in the Serie A this season.
