The battle for survival in the Nigeria Professional Football League is no doubt go down till the final match day, Nigeriasoccernet can report.
With only MFM FC who seems to be already relegated as the factors for their survival are practically unachievable, the battle for the remaining three teams who will join them in the NNL journey continued on Saturday with favorable results garnered by some of the teams in the drop zone.
Dakkada FC moved within two points of safe zone after beating fellow relegation contender Kastina United 2-0 in Uyo.
Kastina United following their controversial victory against Remo Stars last Sunday (scoring the winning goal in 90+34 minutes), could not save themselves in the hands of hungry Dakkada FC who are also aiming to maintain their NPFL status for next season.
Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan gave themselves a lifeline when they came from 2 goals down to playing a 2-2 draw against Enugu Rangers.
The Oluyole Warriors although still within the drop zone get the morale boosting result on the road.
Meanwhile another relegation zoned team, Heartland FC pipped Sunshine Stars by a lone goal.
The Naze Millionaires are still rocked in the relegation despite the win.
Earlier in the day, Abia Warriors defeated visiting Gombe United 3-2 in a five-goal thriller in Okigwe.
Both teams are not really in the danger of relegation but a poor result in their final two games can see them replace any of the teams below them in the drop zone.
The NPFL continues on Sunday with eyes on different centers across the nation.
