Real Madrid TV criticised the referees and La Liga after Vinicius Junior was sent off during the match against Villarreal, describing the competition as “Negreira’s pathetic league”.
The Brazilian winger had a goal ruled out in the 71st minute after the referee reviewed the incident on video. Vinicius Junior was then shown a straight red card for grabbing an opponent by the hair.
Despite being reduced to 10 men, Jose Mourinho’s side held on for a narrow 1-0 victory.
Yan Diomande scored the only “honest” goal of the match in the 63rd minute.
