Real du Faso claimed their first victory of the national championship season by beating fellow academy side Salitas 3-1 in the opening match of the third round at the USFA ground on Friday evening.
The hosts took the lead shortly before half-time when Idrissa Sore scored in the 43rd minute. Cherif Guire extended Real du Faso’s advantage five minutes after the restart.
Salitas, known as the Colombes de Ouaga 2000, pulled a goal back through Noureddine Congo in the 80th minute and threatened to make the closing stages competitive.
However, Real du Faso confirmed the result in stoppage time. Lookman Achraf Tapsoba scored in the 90+3rd minute to complete the 3-1 win.
The result lifts Real du Faso to four points and seventh place in the table. Salitas remain 14th with one point.
