Super Falcons head coach has made a timely return to the fold ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics double header qualifier against Cameroon, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

Speaking in his first interview after making his return with the Super Falcons media, Waldrum conceded that the ultimate goal is to qualify for the Olympics against a tough opponent like Cameroon as he admits his happiness with the squad selection involving majority of the players' that partook at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

"We cant look ahead of ourselves for success at the Olympics until we get there, so qualification is going to be the primary goal. We have difficult set of matches coming up with Cameroon, all the focus now is to get ready for the two matches".

"They will be seeking for revenge as we stopped them from going to the World Cup and if I remember history very well, they stopped us from going to the Olympics few years back so. I think the two countries know each other very well and they've shown that they have a lot of talent especially in their counter attacking style of play", Randy stated.

"I like the team, the team's chemistry and we are able to get all our players' back for these matches, I think that's very important".

"So, if we can put up our performances like we did at the World Cup, then we've got a lot of chances".

"We need to carry on from what we did at the World Cup and build on it, even been better. The difficult part for these matches and any of our upcoming matches is is the window of time in international break doesn't give you a lot of training time, so we have to rely a lot on our experience at the World Cup to take on our matches ," he concluded.

The first leg of the encouounter is built for Stade De La Reunification Douala, Cameroon on Wednesday while the return leg will be played on Saturday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
