As reported by Scottish outlet The Independent, Tottenham are set to fine Harry Kane after he missed today's pre-season test without excuse and/or warning.

This is just the latest development in the apparently strained relationship between the England striker and Spurs, with Kane that has expressed his desire to leave the club on multiple occasions. Tottenham, for their part, are not willing to let go of him unless a massive offer is presented to them. With three years left on his current contract, Spurs are in a position of strength and can afford to wait for what they deem the right amount, likely to be a record sum.

New skipper Nuno Espirito Santo declared that to his understanding, Kane would still be a Tottenham player come the new season, although this latest development could be the beginning of a stand-off between player and club. Kane expressed his desire to play at Manchester City under Guardiola, but City seem unlikely to pay what Tottenham are demanding and it seems they are inclined to make a splash for Grealish instead.

With just a few errks left until the start of the Premier League, it is still in the air whether we will see Kane in the lineup on Matchday 1.
