PREMIER - Klopp receives first Freundship Award

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, is the first-ever winner of a special award at Borussia Dortmund, his previous club.

The German-British #Freundship Award was established to honor the two countries' ties, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp accepted the prize at Signal Iduna Park on Friday.

The British Chamber of Commerce and the British Embassy in Germany founded it.

Klopp joked as he accepted the prize:

"With all the things that my supporters said about me, I thought: 'For lack of alternatives, maybe I am the right one [for this award]'. But I'm really happy about it."
