Plateau United defender Ogene Elijah had successful surgery on his injured knee on Monday and he’s expected to begin rehabilitation immediately.
Elijah missed all the actions in just concluded season due to the injury, but the experienced defender has gone under the knives to correct the defect in his knee.
The experienced center-back who is delighted with the success of the surgery is expected to begin his recovery process anytime soon.
“I am so glad that the surgery went well and successful,” Ogene said on Monday.
“I just want to thank everyone that has supported me on this. May the good Lord continue to bless them.
“I am thankful to everyone and I am very confident that I will come back better and stronger,” he added.
The former Nembe City defender has been out of action since October 2019.
