Pioli ready to drop Suso from AC Milan line-up

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli is reportedly ready to leave Suso out of his starting XI this weekend amidst growing frustration amongst Rossoneri fans.

The tactician was denied victory in his first match in charge on Sunday, as Lecce snatched a late 2-2 draw from their visit to the San Siro.

Along with being unhappy with the result, Milan fans singled out Suso for his underwhelming performance and soft marking on the equalizer by starting the #SusoOut hashtag.

The phrase trended nationwide in Italy, and it appears Pioli has heard the supporters with Tuttosport reporting Suso will likely be dropped for this weekend’s match against Roma.

One possible formation is a 4-3-3 with Ante Rebic starting on the right wing, or a 3-4-2-1 – though the latter is seen as too radical of a change for such a delicate match.

Another option is a 4-3-1-2 with Hakan Calhanoglu in behind Rafael Leao and Krzysztof Piatek.

So far this season Suso has managed just one assist in eight Serie A matches.
