Kasimpasa of Turkey defender, Kenneth Omeruo has admitted that he enjoyed the experience he enjoyed playing for the club on loan from Chelsea of England, as he says it was another useful learning process for him.
As the season comes to an end, the dark-skinned stopper will first return to Stamford Bridge for pre-season, before a decision is made if he will stay at Stamford Bridge for the 2016/17 season or whether he will go out on loan again.
With the former Sunshine Stars of Akure, Standard Liege of Belgium, ADO Den Haag of Holland and Middlesbrough of England stopper now angling for a stable career back at Chelsea, Omeruo came out on Monday to affirm how much he has enjoyed playing in the Turkish Super Lig.
He told AficanFootball.com his confidence has been boosted after an enjoyable time at Turkish club Kasimpasa, where he spent the past season on loan.
During his stay with the former club of fellow-Nigerian, Kalu Uche, Omeruo played 26 times for Kasimpasa and would have posted more appearances but for the injuries he suffered during the course of the season.
Omeruo spent the previous two seasons on loan at Middlesbrough – then playing in the English Championship – and he also admits that playing in the top league has been good for him and has given him more confidence.
“I’ve enjoyed my football and I am more confident, playing in the first league felt good,” Omeruo, who has been linked with some clubs in the EPL including Crystal Palace, told AfricanFootball.com.
