Omeruo Bags First Start For Leganes In Away Draw Vs Valencia

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo, made his first start for Spanish side, Leganes who were held to a 1-1 draw by their hosts, Valencia in a LaLiga Santander clash at the Estadio de Mestalla ,Valencia on Saturday.

Omeruo played for 70 minutes in the encounter before he was replaced by Gerard Gumbau.

It was Omeruo’s second appearance for Leganes who is on a season long deal at the club from English Premier League side, Chelsea.

He made his debut for Leganes in their penultimate league clash against Eibar which they lost 3-2.

The centre-back came in as a 27th minute substitute for Unai Bustinza in the game.

Leganes took the lead from the spot in 63rd minute through Gerard Gumbau.

The hosts rallied back and got their equaliser five minutes from the end courtesy of Jose Gaya.

Leganes occupy 17th position in the table with eight points from nine games.

Manuel Pellegrino’s men will face Levante in their next league game next week Saturday.
