The former Barcelona forward made sure her newly acquired National Women Soccer League side couped all three points to begin on a high alongside the standout performance of goalie Lysianne Proulx who assisted Bay FC in maintaining their first clean sheet with eight saves, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.
Tess Boade provided the first assist in Bay FC history, while Oshoala scored the first goal. Proulx and Bay FC also preserved the first clean sheet in the history of the team. Savy King made his debut for the team in a game as a rookie. The match was initiated by the second overall pick.
The first player to don the club's captain's armband was Alex Loera. Proulx, Asisat Oshoala, and Deyna Castellanos were the first foreign players to play for Bay FC.
