Coach of Remo Stars Gbenga Ogunbote is definitely not a happy man after his side's hope of securing a continental ticket suffered a setback as they fell 1-0 to Akwa United in Uyo on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet can report.
Remo Stars following the defeat to the Akwa now have an uphill task if they are to finish among the top three best team in the league.
The latest defeat however was a thing of serious concern for the experiences gaffer who has now attributed the failure to pick the desired result to one careless moment.
"We came for a victory but unfortunately, we didn't get it right, we had a careless moment and at that point in time, we worked so hard to have deserved at least a point but we didn't get it," Ogunbote said.
"As it is we go home, this game has been won and lost and it has become history. All we need to talk about now is our next game," he added.
Remo Stars are currently 5th on the log, a point adrift the last continental place and will welcome Lobi Stars to Ikenne on Sunday.
