Nigerien referees arrive in Ghana for AshGold-Akonangui FC second leg tie on Saturday

four Nigerian referees appointed to take charge of the second leg tie of the CAF Confederations Cup between Obuasi Ashanti Gold and Akonangui FC have arrived in the country.

The Ghana Premier League giants are set to lock horns with their counterparts from Equatorial Guinea this weekend to decide who progresses into the second round of this year’s second tier inter-club competition.

The four-match officials from Nigeria arrived at the Kotoka International Airport around 21:00GMT on Thursday night and looks ready for the upcoming tie.

They include Abdoulaye Rhisa Almustapha who will be playing the role of the center referee together with assistants Sadissou Idi and Soufia Abdou who will be the linesmen for the day.

Fourth official Moussa Ahamadou was also part of the contingent that arrived in the country.

The all-important match will be played at the Len Clay Sports Stadium on Saturday at 15:00GMT.
