Nigeria International set to undergo medical with Dutch Club Ajax Amsterdam

Report coming from the Netherlands suggests that Ajax Amsterdam have reached an agreement with Scottish giants Rangers for the services of Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey.

Clubs in Europe especially in England have been eyeing the signature of the Nigerian following his amazing performance for Gers last season.

Rangers slapped a $25 million price tag on the Nigerian and after much discussion, both parties have agreed to $22 million deal for Bassey as Ajax wanted to use him as a replacement for Lisandro Martinez who sealed a move to Manchester United.

The report also has it that the player will undergo a compulsory medical tests any moment and will also sign for the former European champions.

Bassey who made 69 appearances for Rangers will joined the likes of Finidi George, Kanu Nwankwo, Sunday Oliseh, Tijani Babangida, Pius Ikedia and Ogbonna Kanu as Super Eagles players that have played for the Dutch giant.
