Nigeria FA adds two coaches to Super Falcons’ technical team

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has integrated coaches Justin Madugu and Edwin Okon into the Super Falcons technical team on Tuesday, November 2.

Madugu was designated as the first assistant coach of Nigeria’s women’s national team, while the coach of Rivers Angels FC Okon will be the chief scout for the team.

Head coach Randy Waldrum keeps his position. Coach Ann Chiejine will be the second assistant, while Wemimo Matthew moves to the women’s U20 team, the Falconets.

 

The reshuffle was made in a brief meeting presided over by the President of the NFF Amaju Pinnick at the federation’s headquarters in Abuja.

Pinnick said, “I want to see a Super Falcons squad that is feared by the opposition not only in Africa but all over the world.

“I trust that you two (Madugu and Okon) will bring some positive difference to our golden Super Falcons.

“I don’t want to see our Falcons struggling against teams in Africa when we should be going toe-to-toe with the best teams in the world.

Nigeria is through to the playoffs of the 2022 Women’s Afcon qualifying after beating Ghana 2-1 on aggregate over two legs in the preliminary stage.

The Super Falcons will play Ivory Coast in the playoffs. The Lady Elephants smacked Niger 20-0 on aggregate to progress.
